I am so grateful to be sober today. I’m grateful for our new orchid plant that sit’s beautifully in the sun. I’m grateful for time off this week to regroup. I’m grateful for the people I connect with and for the “no’s” that will (hopefully) lead to the right opportunity. I’m grateful for a warm cup of tea, a good book, and the cup of coffee that’s waiting for me.
Good morning my friends! Happy Monday and apologies I’m here a little late today…it's the Monday scaries that have pushed me back let me tell yah ;) HOWEVER, with turkey day looming, I hope everyone is gearing up for their favorite Thanksgiving treat (which please don’t hesitate to comment what that favorite treat is because I'd love to hear it.)
As always I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and I hope you all had the chance to listen to Episode 27 of Breakfast with an Alcoholic! If you haven’t listened yet I highly encourage you to check it out because this isn't just a regular ole episode folks…this the first installment of our Big Book Study!! Take a peek…you won’t be disappointed ;)
I also hope that everyone has some well deserved time off from work this week. I personally feel as though I’m dragging my limp body to the finish line which is Wednesday for me, and I cannot wait to sleep.
My pure mental, physical, spiritual and emotional exhaustion lately has lead to me say saying a specific prayer the past few days that I’d like to share with all of you. It's not a special prayer from a book or anything, just one that I made up but it’s been helping me and I hope it helps you too!
It goes like this: Higher Power, Please direct my thinking today. Please help me be better than I was yesterday. Please help me be more positive and please put someone in front of me that I can help. Please help me see the way and please help me understand your plan.
So overall, wishing everyone a wonderful week this week, I hope my little prayer helped anyone who needed it, that you all listen to Episode 27 ;) and I will see you beautiful people again on Wednesday this week instead of Thursday!
With so much love always,
Jane
Love this prayer, Jane, and wishing you smooth sailing through your work week (I also am in the grind through Wednesday!). I'm looking forward to making (and hear me out on this because I do not care for most things pumpkin) a pumpkin cheesecake with gingersnap crust and caramel sauce. DELICIOUS.
Have a beautiful week!
