I’m grateful for the end of September. I’m grateful for seeing what it takes to be myself. I’m grateful for seeing where I need to end. I’m grateful for Law and Order episodes in the middle of the night. I’m grateful for friends who really know me. I’m grateful to be sober today.
The first thing I want to tell you to do is to check out what Jane posted yesterday:
Obviously, I think a lot of Jane and I have a great deal of respect for her courage and her authenticity. I would invite you to read between the lines of what she wrote yesterday. Like a lot of us, she’s definitely puzzling this out every day, and there is a very high degree of difficulty. What’s really impressive is that she’s doing it in real time and in front of other people. Now, I understand that is the epitome of courage. Which, of course, ended up being the theme of last week’s Liner Notes and the conversations with Paulina Pinsky and Tatiana Gallardo:
