Good morning my friends!
As always, I hope you’ve been enjoying the week and are getting ready for a relaxing weekend :) I’m doing something a little different today. Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed that my gratitude list writing has just completely dropped off. I’ll write a short list here every Monday and Thursday but that’s the most gratitude I’ve gotten into lately.
And the lack of gratitude has certainly been affecting me, at the very least not doing a gratitude list certainly hasn’t helped the funk I’ve been in.
So today, instead of five quick things, I’m sharing with you 32 things I’m grateful for in the hopes that these will spread the gratitude, and kick start a daily list again…and if you’re really feeling it, I’d love to hear some things you’re grateful for too today ;)
1. I’m grateful to be sober today.
2. I’m grateful for when my sponsor tough loves me when I need it the most.
3. I’m grateful for yogurt, with granola and peanut butter and bananas.
4. I’m grateful for low moments that bring out so much clarity.
5. I’m grateful for having the epiphany (another one) that I still so closely tie my value to how burned out I’m feeling – whether that be with work or my program.
6. I’m grateful for the awareness of the above, so I can work on changing that.
7. I’m grateful for the home we have together and for my planets (even though my orchids have not come back to life and I’m kind of just hoping if I ignore them, they will spontaneously revive).
8. I’m grateful for the subway that takes me to work.
9. I’m grateful for the mourning dove that was cooing as I worked on Step 10 with my sponsor.
10. I’m grateful for nightly inventories.
11. I’m grateful for my Peepa sending me messages all of the time.
12. I’m grateful for the mourning dove that Timmy noticed and I didn’t, maybe Peepa just wanted to say hello to him that day.
13. I’m grateful for phone calls with my mom.
14. I’m grateful for seeing my dad this weekend for Father’s Day.
15. I’m grateful for the people who check in.
16. I’m grateful for second chances and how there is always an opportunity to change.
17. I am grateful for the moth that flew into the apartment overnight that is now resting above the bed. (Because I like to find the meaning in everything – moths in your home can represent growth, transformation, renewal, change and new experiences).
18. I’m grateful for Timmy smushing two mosquitos this morning that have been eating me alive and forcing me to wear bug spray at night, so I don’t wake up violently itching from some fresh bug bites.
19. I’m grateful for learning what not to do.
20. I’m grateful for learning what to do.
21. I’m grateful for a sunny morning.
22. I’m grateful for the amends I have scheduled for Monday and for catching up with an old friend.
23. I’m grateful for the painting my sponsor made us, that hangs in our apartment.
24. I’m grateful that my sponsor is also my friend, who loves and supports me.
25. I’m grateful that I will get to be, what my sponsor is to me, to someone else one day.
26. I’m grateful for HP sending me things at the right time.
27. I’m grateful for HP teaching me how to be patient.
28. I’m grateful for the friends I have made in AA and how genuine our relationships are.
29. I am grateful to know that I am trying the best I can every day.
30. I’m grateful for a trip to the beach coming up in July.
31. I am so grateful for the life AA has given me.
32. I’m grateful for knowing that all I have to do is stay sober, and life will continue to get so beautiful.
Xx

Love this, Jane ❤️ I never tire of reading other people's gratitude lists.
Thank you for sharing your gratitude list with your readers. I have definitely dropped the ball on my own gratitude list, and I haven't written one in a few months now. Your post reminded me to get back on track with me, because I do have a clearer, more serene outlook on life when I write one out.
