Sorry to come at you in the middle of the day, but wanted to make sure that everyone had the details for the Inaugural Anyone Anywhere Meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous:
The only requirement for membership in AA is a desire to stop drinking. This is an “Open” meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous, meaning that non-alcoholics, non-members (we need a better name here) are welcome to attend and observe. We ask that everyone who does attend strictly observe and respect our tradition of anonymity. If you want to come and leave your camera turned off and just listen—that’s cool, too. We never call on people!
We’re never going to ask what you’re doing here.
We will be covering “The Doctor’s Opinion’” tonight. It’s right at the front of the Big Book and was written by Bill Wilson’s attending physician at Towns Hospital, Dr. William Silkworth. We’ll be reading it out loud and then discussing it. If you need a link to it (courtesy of AA):

If you’d like to purchase the Big Book, of course, you can do that on the AA website. Or you could support a small, local business here on the Upper East Side of New York City that caters to the recovery community. They actually sell Big Books in the store!1
Choices Gifts: 78th Street Between 2nd and 3rd
So there it is—Hope we see you tonight!
I told them I might do this one day.
