I’m grateful for a pretty day. I’m grateful for a trip to the museum. I’m grateful for the view from my desk. I’m grateful for the coffee on my desk. I’m grateful for second, third and fourth chances. I’m grateful for the penny I found. I’m grateful to be sober today.
Hello and Happy Sunday—it’s the Sunday Gratitude Extravaganza (if you haven’t already noticed).1 This is your chance to get into the act! Last week, we asked if you’d like to share a gratitude list and many of you did! Thank you! This week’s prompt comes from our good friend, Jane. She’d like to know:
What Keeps You Sober?
This is the tricky part. If you’d like to participate in the actual discussion thread, you’ll need to download the app:
Trust me, the app is great, the experience of reading our stuff is much, much better and you get access to all of these other great writers and it’s free, free, free. Once you’ve installed the app (thank you, by the way), just go and click the discussion thread button:
Then, gather your thoughts (or be like me and never do that), press this button and share your glorious profundity with the whole world (or at least the other TFLMS subscribers!). That prompt again (or we’re always good with your gratitude lists too!):
What Keeps You Sober?
In other news, it’s not to late to read the New and Improved, Amalgamated version of:
Click here to read: The 1000 Deaths of Wile E. Coyote.
As an inducement and as a crib sheet for life, I’m also going to reproduce the Teachings of Wile E. Coyote here, for your ease and convenience:
Jane is on deck for tomorrow and I’ll be spending the rest of my weekend not falling off cliffs, riding rockets, getting hit by speeding onrushing trains or having additional boulders fall on top of me. I’ll keep you posted.2
Thanks for Letting Me Share
For some foreseeable amount of time, the text for the “Subscribe!” button may be coming from song lyrics. I could probably be persuaded to come up with some kind of prize or at least some fawning recognition for those who recognize the song. I put this footnote here because you’re apparently not allowed to footnote the “Subscribe!” button text.
Maybe you should be posting something in the discussion thread instead of reading meaningless footnotes?
I don't see the word 'extravaganza' enough, TBD and Jane, so thank you for putting it in front of me today. I LOVE the painting of the cup and saucer, by the way - in fact, it's just my cup of tea!
