I’m grateful to be sitting on the balcony drinking coffee. I’m grateful for the people who come into my life. I’m grateful to see that beginnings and endings are just part of the stories I write. I’m grateful that there’s always a way. I’m grateful to be sober today.
It’s Saturday and that means this is the Weekend Edition of the Daily Gratitude List—not sure that there will be anything too, terribly different about it, though. I will mention that there is a new episode of Breakfast with an Alcoholic coming this weekend; I’ll be sharing my “breakfast”1 with Aviva and think you’ll really enjoy it. Also, I love it when people share their own gratitude lists in the comments or on Twitter. I’d love to share the stage with a guest gratitude lister, you can put something in the comments here:
I’m also happy to share the big stage2, too and feature your gratitude list in the newsletter—all you have to do is ask!! Have a great weekend and don’t forget to share this with a friend, that is, if you like this.
Thanks for Letting Me Share
Owing to schedules and the general business of city-life, not all of these “breakfasts” occur within the time frames that one might typically associate with breakfast. I am concerned with maintaining artistic integrity so I do eat pancakes whenever possible.
To the extent, of course, that this newsletter could be considered a “Big Stage.”

I’m grateful for my gargantuan dog, and supportive partner. I’m grateful for watercolours and how they can get me to be quiet. I’m grateful for all my house plants, who are endlessly forgiving of my neglect. I am grateful to live in a town that’s more green than grey.
