I’m grateful for Father’s Day. I’m grateful for my Dad and the example he still sets. I’m grateful I get to be a dad and grateful for the two reasons I get to celebrate Father’s Day. I’m very grateful for the place I have in my kids’ lives. I’m grateful for things like redemption and forgiveness. I’m grateful for people who understand that brown sugar cinnamon is the only acceptable kind of Pop Tart. I’m grateful for all of the little blessings. I’m grateful to be sober today.
Happy Father’s Day! Speaking for myself, it doesn’t take much to make Fathers Day a rousing success: Laugh at that terrible joke1, listen to that story again without pointing out how many times you’ve heard it, give Dad that putt.
A couple of things to mention. First, that is going to be the last of the East River at night photos for a bit. They were just so beautiful, I thought, and there were so many! The second piece of news is more exciting! We are literally only minutes away from the release of Episode 13 of Breakfast with an Alcoholic.2 Just wait, you’ll see!
Thanks for Letting Me Share
One day I might be willing to share my series of very funny “What?” jokes.
I understand that the numbering system around the episodes has been a bit chaotic. Sometimes the numbers are spelled out, sometimes they’re not and sometimes they are the Roman Super Bowl numbers. One day I’ll sort that all out, but until then, this is Episode 13.
