Daily Gratitude List 7.5.22

I’m grateful for the 4th of July. I’m grateful my knees aren’t more creaky. I’m grateful to let things unfold. I’m grateful to finally see what I needed to see. I’m grateful for a very delicious berry crumble. I’m grateful to see me emerge. I’m grateful to be sober today.

There were fireworks everywhere last night and an absolutely perfect night here in NYC—hope it was as nice where you were. Want to see the berry crumble I made in honor of Independence Day?

What with the long holiday weekend and near-perfect weather, I can definitely understand if you just haven’t had a chance to get around to listening to this, but you should definitely make time now:

1. You’re right, I could write the Liner Notes in advance and then everything would be very efficient and orderly. Listen to another great episode of Breakfast with an Alcoholic, read the pre-written Liner Notes, lather, rinse, repeat. In fact, if you’re just interested in maintaining a schedule, I could probably get some AI/robot thing to write these. Except that I would never do that because it ultimately leads to this:

2. I’m not recommending this just because Matt is going to be on Breakfast with an Alcoholic soon. Sometimes when you read the footnotes, you find a kindred soul.

3. I’m not sure if I mentioned this, but we’re currently #9 on this list of the “Best Sober Living Websites on the Planet.” Or something like that.
