The Sinking of the Vasa: I’m grateful for an awesome day yesterday. I’m grateful the guy in the coffee shop already knows my order. I’m grateful for lots of discoveries. I’m grateful for the sense of ease I have. I’m grateful for charging up the batteries. I’m grateful to be sober today.
Thank you--that means a lot to me. I think you will appreciate that I was getting some very concerned looks as I was writing in the coffee shop this morning. I guess once you open up, you open up!
Putting our wreckage in a museum for others to gawk at that is hard, but necessary. But they don’t gawk. They learn. And they say how beautiful the wreckage is now that it’s been exhumed.
Wonderful as usual! See this is why you have to allow it to be a travelogue. Because the thing we need to hear may come in the form of something you see that makes you think of something else, etc.
A really moving essay. Thank You for sharing so bravely 🙏

You're right, of course and you'll see I took your advice. Thank you.
