Hello! My name is Jane and I’m an alcoholic. It’s certainly not easy to be a young woman and sober, but what I would like to do here is create a space where women can bond, collaborate, and share their experiences. How we stay sober every day and hopefully help the next young woman who isn’t trying a dry January…but is getting sober to save her life.
Hi friends! I'm always here should anyone need an ear to talk to OR if you just want to chat. Any thoughts, questions, concerns...just let me know too (but be nice, I'm sensitive :))
Extremely here for this! I’m the same way about my alcoholism and sobriety, I tell everyone about it. It was actually a challenge in the beginning for me not to accidentally out friends in the program because I kept forgetting that not everyone is as open as me. 😬
I 100% understand about accidentally outing friends 😂😂 but for myself I am so proud to be who I am, especially since I tried to shut away so many parts of myself for so long. So here I am folks 😉💁🏻♀️
My son was using for four years before he became so open with his addiction. I used to have to field questions from grandparents and other well-meaning friends and family with evasive answers. Now he’s glad for me to share updates with others about his recovery.
And I’m shouting my story to the rooftops, too. “Never say, ‘Not my child’” or feel that your clean little world of soccer and family dinner and church events mean your world can’t get messy. When it does, I want to be here telling those moms, “It’s okay. You’re gonna be okay.”
Super nice to meet you Jane! I have not progressed to telling people I’m alcohol dependent. I know I am technically an “alcoholic” but I’m just not in to labels. Anyway, I am 58 almost five months sober. I am happy to share and help the conversation and sister bonding along!!😀 congratulations on being a convener and guide!

This is amazing and I love what you're doing with the "share" buttons. Seriously, I'm really excited about this!
